Europe's Green Energy

Pretty flamingosImage via Wikipedia

Today finding a new, green source of energy is more important then ever. Some of the most popular alternative energy sources are wind, solar, tidal, and hydroelectric power. In the attempt to switch from fossil fuels to renewable sources a number of questions have come up. One question is what is there to do when the wind isn't blowing, the Sun isn't shining, or the tides aren't rolling? Well, Europe may have found the answer.

Nine countries in Europe are attempting to connect all of these power sources, so when say, Germany's solar arrays don't have energy due to nighttime, then Britain's windmills will pick up the slack.

The countries currently working on this are Britain, Germany, Sweden, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, and Denmark. The countries are going to attempt to have a grid all over Europe in hopes to have 20 percent of energy from renewable sources by 2020.
