This is an interesting point of Pollution. Many of us think pollution is a terrible environmental issue, and yes it is, I agree however there are positives...
Pollution is one of the biggest problems that people look at these days. Ever since the Industrial Revolution the whole world has been releasing greenhouse gases that are deteriorating the world as we speak. Since 1990 US alone is contributing 36.1% of the worldwide greenhouse emissions according to vexon.co.uk. With only 4% of the worlds population we are releasing a little more than 1/4 of the greenhouse gases worldwide, Now that's a big deal!
Now you might think we should completely prevent this and try to reduce the emissions as much as possible. Believe it or not most of us don't pay attention to the other side.
Think of the laws that require our factories to reduce pollution. Doing so the factories costs increases tremendously lowering their profits. The lower their profits the lower the wages the workers will earn. When incomes are lowered their spending will decrease affecting our economy. Now do we really want our economy to get even worse than it is? Or should we just deal with some pollution. That is once choice we will have to make and hopefully the answer is a combination of both.
Yes there will be new advances helping us keep our emissions low, however that will require research costs and time. Of course I am not against going green, but the point is to look at both sides which many of us disregard.
