Weekly News (World)

On January 31 (today) the Pakistani television reported the death of the head Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud.

Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a US attack. He has been the leader for a while now and the death of him could lower terrorist threats. He has also been blamed for the bombing on CIA in Afghanistan. According to Fox News, The drone strike that targeted Mehsud came after two weeks of his plan in suicide bombing towards seven CIA employees.

Although the US officials try not to let information to the media few have privately stated that couple Taliban leaders have been killed.

Even if we have progressed into decreasing terrorist threats we still cannot ease up on this conflict.
